Hey, so you remember Jennifer's call about the date nearly a week ago? She said it was February 8th then so you know that today is February 14th, which you know is a holiday in some countries in the world a lot of us are somewhat familiar with. How it's celebrated really isn't all that important, but it's a holiday designated for love--[ The word is spoken in the only form a tsundere can say it in. ]--so I was honestly expecting this thing here to buzz with a billion love confessions.

[ But enough about her poor love life. ]

As a sign of gratitude for reminding you of the holiday, I'd like to hear your opinions on Miss Beth Yao. A number of you have met her and have been told things about her, haven't you? Consider me curious as to your opinions on her. [ A rare, once in a lifetime opportunity for Rin to give a damn about someone's opinion. Grasp it while you can. ] Surely you have to have something in mind after all we've gone through, right? Well, let's hear it. [ For those who do know her, a new scar can be seen creeping out from her turtleneck sweater along her neck. She's done her best to cover it up by wearing this outfit of choice, but maybe she underestimates the phone's camera or just doesn't seem to care about it. ]

I heard he's really good at what he does, so there's a chance he's flocked to often by women who wish to profit off of his wealth. Men too, I suspect.

[ Not Rin herself, though she's pretty much settled down with the idea that if she has to marry a magus to carry on her family's bloodline, it's going to be a rich one.

Because she's marriage material and every wealthy magus should be able to tolerate that. Also gemstones. ]

Don't tell me you'd marry someone for love or something cliche like that.

Really? [ The girl did appear to have an air of elegance around her so why Rin failed to catch on sooner is a miracle. ] Then you're free to do whatever you want with love.

So would you marry someone because you were in love with them?

Weeeeell, marriage is usually on the mind for someone of my standing. I have to find an appropriate husband to have a suitable heir with, but it's not something I'm looking for actively!

[ Not that it's not exactly what she should be doing according to some people, but like hell she's going to think of it that way. ]

I thought those people who care about heirs and all that were a dying breed.

It's important when your body... ah, well it's just complicated sometimes. It isn't the most valuable thing, but having someone who is compatible with your bloodline is just being mindful of your child's future.

[ The way she words it implies that there is someone though. Her expression doesn't falter as she bolsters herself with pride. ]
