[ Been a while since Rin herself has made a call, but in all honesty why would she when she can just ask (read: bully) others into speaking for her. That way she doesn't have to deal with a bunch of no-names hassling her for the answers of every little question, but today? Today should be a day for the people of Haven to celebrate and if not, well she tried and therefore no one could say she didn't. ]

Hey, so you remember Jennifer's call about the date nearly a week ago? She said it was February 8th then so you know that today is February 14th, which you know is a holiday in some countries in the world a lot of us are somewhat familiar with. How it's celebrated really isn't all that important, but it's a holiday designated for love--[ The word is spoken in the only form a tsundere can say it in. ]--so I was honestly expecting this thing here to buzz with a billion love confessions.

[ But enough about her poor love life. ]

As a sign of gratitude for reminding you of the holiday, I'd like to hear your opinions on Miss Beth Yao. A number of you have met her and have been told things about her, haven't you? Consider me curious as to your opinions on her. [ A rare, once in a lifetime opportunity for Rin to give a damn about someone's opinion. Grasp it while you can. ] Surely you have to have something in mind after all we've gone through, right? Well, let's hear it. I don't really have all day to sit around waiting on this stupid phone to entertain me, so be prompt with your replies.

[ For those who do know her, a new scar can be seen creeping out from her turtleneck sweater along her neck. She's done her best to cover it up by wearing this outfit of choice, but maybe she underestimates the phone's camera or just doesn't seem to care about it. ]

Correct. There was a chance she would have been brought back much like we are.

[ Her voice is a bit distant at that. A recent death is a sting she doesn't need when she's trying to have a serious conversation. ]

Isn't it ideal to have more information about someone before bringing them down regardless? The guilt we'd feel for slaughtering someone without a second thought is horrendous, isn't it?

[intendance]

[guilt, huh... Morgan looks thoughtful at that, as if considering it.]

Mm...Yes! I suppose that could lead to guilt. [but Morgan doesn't really see it--then again, she's not always a model citizen when she's being a tactician.]

But it's a lot more important that we do what preserves the lives of as many people here as we can. Regardless, you're right! We don't have neaaaar enough information to make a call like that.

[gandere]

If you believe killing one person to save the lives of many is an easy choice... [ She pauses as if there's someone else on her mind. ] It isn't. Because what happens when next time you have to kill ten to save a hundred and it just grows more and more dire?

[intendance]

I suppose it's not really easy at all, huh...?

[But she still doesn't exactly think it would lead to crippling guilt.]

It'll be someone's responsibility eventually--well, maybe. Hopefully all of this can be solved without executing people at all, because form my experiences, that usually doesn't make you the good guy.

[gandere]

It shouldn't have to be anyone's responsibility!

[ There's a bit more passion in her voice at that than necessary. It's really a personal subject and it shows. ]

A person shouldn't... I just mean, it's cruel to have to think of it that way so it's better to keep people from dying in general!

I mean... it doesn't matter if you're a good guy or not, it's just killing people in general is awful. Especially if isn't necessary and taking lives to spare lives of others... no, that's no way to live.

[intendance]

[aha...that's definitely a passionate response. Morgan blinks at that, and then tilts her head.]

Well, of course killing people is awful.

[She doesn't know why that's even in question, honestly.]

But having someone with your morals around is probably a really good thing in a place like this! I would hate to see what the sliding scale of our humanity would start to look like after a few years of these sorts of experiments and suffering...

[That's just a thoughtful comment, though, no big deal.]

We won't kill anyone, if we can help it! The best strategies involve the least amount of death, of course! Well, I'm not in charge, but still! We'll figure out a way.

[gandere]

[ A thoughtful comment that hits her right in the heart. If she didn't spend two years of her life already in a place that pushed limits, she might have joined the crowd in hunting her down. ]

We need people who are willing to be leaders. [ Rin speaks up at that. ] Will you be able to step up when the call for them comes out?

And in doing so, will you be able to keep those strategies in mind?

Well, if it helps you any, you'd be one of the first I'd come to believe in executing a proper strategy.

[intendance]

[Oh wow, that wasn't...what Morgan was expecting at all. Granted, she's been groomed all her life to take on that leadership role when it's offered to her, but other than playing around in the Justice Cabal, and working with small groups under her father's direction, she's never actually been offered that leadership role.

So she looks startled for a moment, before she smiles. Because--well, this is what it must feel like, to finally strive to meet your potential.]

My father is the better tactical mind, but...of course I will! I couldn't call myself his daughter if I couldn't do that!

[And then, still smiling but a bit more seriously--]

And I won't forget this conversation, but even if I do, keep reminding me, all right? We'll find a strategy that focuses on saving people! [instead of killing them.]

Don't tell me you're still forgetting things now.

[ What a pain. All this time she was under the impression that the amnesia was before coming to Haven, not a constant thing. ]

Well, are you? I'd need to speak with your father if--wait, your father isn't here, is he?

[intendance]

I can't really depend on my memory, ha ha! Dr. Kite has basically said it's a target, and people seem fond of taking it away from me...

[so more Haven being Haven than anything, but yes. She shakes her head eagerly, more than pleased by the topic change.]

Father is here! [...unfortunately.......] But I'm sure you can speak with him. I'll tell him alllllll about everything we've talked about!

You'd tell your father that? [ Twitch. ]

Why didn't you say he was here? You sounded so fond of him so I wanted to meet him!

[intendance]

...It didn't come up!

[or rather she thought everyone already knew because clearly his ~stunning presence~ would be obvious to everyone.]

But I'll make sure to introduce you to him! Between the three of us, we'll definitely find a way to create the perfect strategy!
