oo1 --- [video]
[The man on the screen looks banged up and bruised--and, quite frankly, like hell. He just seems exhausted and bemused, not panicking like he probably should be. He'd left the apartment to do a bit of exploring then came back, entirely too exhausted and injured to do much else, but he's got a vague idea of where he is now. Right.]
Yes, hi. Hello? Is this like a Nokia?
[He leans back on the bed he's sitting on.] So I get it. Deserted town. Spooky. I'm past it. It's time to move forward. [He waves his hands vaguely.] I need parts. Durable and solid enough to deal with sustained flight-- You know what, I'll work out the details. I can salvage just about anything, so don't be shy.
And-- [Pause.] Really, is this it? Just this thing? [A bit of shaky cam as he examines the communication device again.] I guess with a few tweaks it'll function on a less...archaic level... So-- Look, am I alone? Am I talking to myself here? I know I'm fantastic to look at, but I'd love some sign of intelligent life here.
[ooc; This post also doubles as action for anyone else in Apartment #2.002. c:]

[There's a reproachful bite to her tone. She's getting pretty sick of the new arrivals assuming incompetence on their part before even leaving the apartment block, though there's certainly no love lost between her and their captors either.]

There's always a weakness. We just need to find it.

Good to know we're on the same page, but finding a weakness takes time. And information, which we have a sore lack of. You see the dilemma?

[He's rubbing his forehead again. He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting after falling out of the sky to his death, but it probably hadn't been this.]

[She hones in on the bit about the phones.]
As a matter of fact, no, they don't. There was this thing little over a week ago where everyone woke up in a hospital and one of them came out to stir things up. The fact that he didn't have one gave him away.
