That way she doesn't have to deal with a bunch of no-names hassling her for the answers of every little question, but today? Today should be a day for the people of Haven to celebrate and if not, well she tried and therefore no one could say she didn't. ]

Hey, so you remember Jennifer's call about the date nearly a week ago? She said it was February 8th then so you know that today is February 14th, which you know is a holiday in some countries in the world a lot of us are somewhat familiar with. How it's celebrated really isn't all that important, but it's a holiday designated for love--[ The word is spoken in the only form a tsundere can say it in. ]--so I was honestly expecting this thing here to buzz with a billion love confessions.

[ But enough about her poor love life. ]

As a sign of gratitude for reminding you of the holiday, I'd like to hear your opinions on Miss Beth Yao. A number of you have met her and have been told things about her, haven't you? Consider me curious as to your opinions on her. [ A rare, once in a lifetime opportunity for Rin to give a damn about someone's opinion. Grasp it while you can. ] Surely you have to have something in mind after all we've gone through, right? Well, let's hear it. I don't really have all day to sit around waiting on this stupid phone to entertain me, so be prompt with your replies.

[ For those who do know her, a new scar can be seen creeping out from her turtleneck sweater along her neck. She's done her best to cover it up by wearing this outfit of choice, but maybe she underestimates the phone's camera or just doesn't seem to care about it. ]

[ Ange doesn't really know much at all about Beth Yao and it doesn't interest her a great deal either - enough to casually listen when other people have something to say about it, but not enough to bring it up herself, basically. So instead she focuses on the first part of the broadcast, since she actually didn't even think of it herself. ]

Do you even realise what a pain you're causing us here? Soon everyone will start acting all lovey dovey. [ Not that she sounds terribly bothered all the same. But still. ]

Besides, the people in charge might get a few creative ideas about how to make a love holiday more "fun" for us at this rate. I'm pretty sure that's the last thing anyone would want.

Oh come on, why would they pay attention to the call from a young lady when there's far more interesting calls about raids and revolts to consider? You think a majority of the people here mind their tongue when they call everyone and that I should join the ranks of those who do?

It'd sure be nice if we had a slightly bigger group of people who actually think before they speak up. [ A far-off dream.. ] But from what I've learned in that other place, psychos in charge of a places like these enjoy stuff related to Valentine's Day. They probably have a weird thing for embarassing people even when there's other more important stuff going on.

[ Pausing because she has experience with Ange's words. It's true, Valentine's Day at Mayfield was horrendous. ]

Ugh... maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it.

Well, it's too late to take those words back now either way. [ Then why were you complaining about it to begin with, Ange.. ]

All we can hope for is that maybe Kite has a huge grudge against Valentine's Day that he refuses to do anything special for it. He seems like the kind of person who was rejected by girls a lot, so maybe we're lucky.

I heard he's really good at what he does, so there's a chance he's flocked to often by women who wish to profit off of his wealth. Men too, I suspect.

.. Could any woman honestly put up with that, even if it'd be for money? He's got to be one of the most gross men I've ever seen.

There are plenty of people who find wealth surpasses crappy personalities.

[ Not Rin herself, though she's pretty much settled down with the idea that if she has to marry a magus to carry on her family's bloodline, it's going to be a rich one.

Because she's marriage material and every wealthy magus should be able to tolerate that. Also gemstones. ]

So would you marry someone because you were in love with them?

Weeeeell, marriage is usually on the mind for someone of my standing. I have to find an appropriate husband to have a suitable heir with, but it's not something I'm looking for actively!

It's important when your body... ah, well it's just complicated sometimes. It isn't the most valuable thing, but having someone who is compatible with your bloodline is just being mindful of your child's future.
